1. Privacy by design

ToolBoxManager is designed as a local Windows workspace. The application does not collect, upload, inspect, or sell the files, folders, notes, URLs, workspace structures, or other project content you organize in TBM.

Your project assets remain in their original locations. TBM works with local visual pointers and does not require your project content to be stored in a ToolBoxManager cloud account.

In practical terms: your project workspace is not a source of advertising data, behavioral profiling, or content analytics for ToolBoxManager.

2. Information that may be processed for licensing

If you use a licensed version that requires account or license validation, limited account and technical licensing information may be processed only as needed to confirm access, validate license status, manage licensed device seats, prevent obvious license abuse, and maintain the licensing service.

This may include an account identifier such as the email or username associated with the purchase, a license token or product identifier, device or client identifiers used for seat management, validation timestamps, and basic operational status or error information. This licensing information is separate from your TBM project content.

3. Website use and analytics

The ToolBoxManager website uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate website use, such as which pages are visited, how visitors move through the site, and which content is useful. Google Analytics may process browser and device information, IP-derived location information, referral data, and page interaction data according to Google's own terms and privacy controls.

This website analytics is separate from the ToolBoxManager desktop application. Your local TBM workspace, files, folders, Notes, links, Desktop structures, and project content are not uploaded to Google Analytics by the TBM application. The hosting provider may also create standard server logs for security, reliability, abuse prevention, and technical operation.

4. Purchases and payment providers

Purchases, refunds, account creation, or payment processing may be completed through an independent checkout, payment, membership, or software marketplace provider. That provider processes the transaction information required to complete the purchase under its own privacy terms.

ToolBoxManager does not need your full payment-card number in order to operate the software, and the application does not collect payment-card details from your workspace.

5. What we do not do

  • We do not sell TBM workspace content or customer project data.
  • We do not use your files, notes, links, or project structure to train advertising or profiling systems.
  • We do not move your original project assets into a ToolBoxManager cloud repository.
  • We do not require analytics tracking in order to use the local TBM workspace.

6. Data minimization and retention

Where limited licensing, support, or transaction-related information is available to ToolBoxManager, the objective is to keep only what is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was provided, for operational, fraud-prevention, accounting, support, or legal requirements.

7. Third-party links

TBM can point to websites and online resources selected by you. Those external services have their own privacy practices. ToolBoxManager does not control what a third-party website collects when you visit it.

8. Children

ToolBoxManager is a general productivity application and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly design the service to collect personal information from children through the TBM workspace.

9. Your rights

Privacy rights vary by jurisdiction. If applicable law gives you rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of personal information that ToolBoxManager actually controls, those rights are not limited by this policy. Because TBM is intentionally data-minimal, we may have very little information to identify or return.

10. Changes to this policy

If the product or website changes in a way that materially changes privacy practices, this policy should be updated before or when that change becomes effective.

11. Contact

For a privacy question, use the current ToolBoxManager support or contact channel published with the product, on the website, or in your purchase receipt. Please do not send sensitive project files unless they are specifically required for support.
